I went for the navy assesment, saw alot of 6 pac mascular men, and their training inside, very tough. Have to dive into 10m deep water, running and alot other unseen stuff. Our assesment was quite easy though, jus had to swim 1 round for them to see then they will interview us abt coming into navy (i of cuz tried my best to reject).
After that was a small medical check up and then we had to go into a chamber where they will bring us 10m deep to test if we can take the water pressure there. We had to keep doing valsavar to clear our ears as the pressure keeps will attack the ears if you don't clear it. This segment is quite stress as you cannot cough, sneeze, and mus sit straight as any small wrong actions you do you will damage ur body. We also had to wear 100% cotton clothes inside (i heard is becoz other material will catch fire). My ears starts to get very pushed when we finally reach 10m. The coming up part was hard too, we can onli breathe in and out, no other action. I felt like swallowing saliva when coming up but had to bear with it.
Finally was the 3 hour IQ test where they just ask some no right or wrong question, just to find out ur preference and all those. It took a whole day to do all these tests, i report at 7.30am and came back home at 10pm (partly becoz it was at sembawang very far). But i mus say the food there is very good, no complains at all.

Tmr i will be going for my navy vocation assesment, heard alot of diff explanations frm some frends who already go NS, and all say navy very xiong, best is dun go. Training will be so tiring until no energy to hold spoon when eating, and they will wake u up in the middle of the nite to do training if they wan it. Worse is there is a special training call Hell Week, and after that Hell Week they will let you rest for one whole week no need to go back navy (What kind of training will one need to do so that he can earn one week of rest, where normally the rest day is only 2?)
Although none of them can really confirm as they all nv go to navy also, but everyone seems to be saying the common thing is navy very xiong. They tell mi tmr try to act, or at least take a bet.
I can either say i can't swim, so that maybe they will post me to other unit instead of diver, but if i unlucky i still need to go diver i will need to enter 2 months earlier to learn swimming. If tmr i swim, then that will only increase my chance of going into navy.
So how, can swim or cannot swim?
Changed the layout slightly...will be improvised this is only temporary...
